Benjamin Latto O’Brien

Benjamin LattoWhile the majority of Ben’s training was completed in Perth and Melbourne, he has also studied in Nanning, Guangxi province in China completing advanced training in both Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Ben was invited to be the guest lecturer in Guangxi Traditional Chinese Medical University teaching Chinese medicine, medical English, anatomy and pathophysiology.

Along with extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Ben is a qualified nutritionist and believes strongly in the food as medicine philosophy.

Chinese medicine consults are roughly 1 hour in duration and involve a complete case history, tongue and pulse examination and the painless insertion of acupuncture needles to stimulate the body’s ability to heal itself. Herbal medicine may also be prescribed if required, at additional cost.

Ben believes strongly in the curative power of nature as well as the concept that prevention is better than cure. Many of Ben’s patients see him simply to promote and maintain their health.

Ben is able to provide 10 minute introductory consults for patients wanting to know more about Acupuncture and Chinese medicine, free of charge. Ben will be running free nutrition workshops in the near future.
